“SOL-ART VISIONS” - CONCEPTS FOR SOLAR FACADES

Following workshops with the local community and businesses, myself and 4 other artists created some conceptual artworks looking at looking at ways of combining art and solar technology. My piece “Light for Life” is inspired by the idea of celebrating the natural world and the capture of solar energy. Created digitally, the illustration combines hand drawn elements, which are scanned in and layered with more scanned textures and then digitally coloured.

Working with Upfest and UWE, the project culminated in an exhibition “SOL-ART Visions” exhibition at the Tobacco Factory in Bristol.
